The Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Uba Sani on Saturday, felicitated with Nigerians on the 62 Independence anniversary celebration.

Senator Uba Sani who is also the All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship aspirant for the 2023 general election, urged all Nigerians to live in peace and harmony with one another.

Writing on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, Sani, said our journey as a nation has been a mixed bag of remarkable achievements and missed opportunities.

”One of our biggest achievements as a country is the fact that we are still together despite the threats of disintegration. The Nigerian people have displayed their resilience and willingness to remain within the Nigerian nation, adding that
we must give the Almighty God thanks for seeing us through difficult and challenging times.

“We must make haste to frontally address issues that are pulling our people apart. We must make deliberate efforts to run inclusive administrations that would give our people and all parts of the country a sense of belonging. We must build a country where justice, equity and fairness are guaranteed.” He said

He said Nigerian people are confined to their localities without moving from one place to another as interaction will not take place and mutual understanding cannot be built due to insecurity that has hindered the movement

”Our people have built trust, confidence and understanding through commerce, we must, therefore, degrade the criminal elements in our midst so that our people can have a new lease of life.

“As we celebrate this Independence anniversary, we must prioritise the interest and concerns of the Nigerian youths. The future of the youths must not be toyed with. The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) must resolve their disagreements without further delay. Nigerian children must return to tertiary institutions and resume their studies. Any further waste of time may spell disaster for the country.” He further said

While calling on fellow Nigerians, and compatriots to renew their faith in Nigeria, Senator Sani noted that our difficulties and challenges are not insurmountable.

He said ”we can get around them by supporting governments at all levels with useful advice and fully contributing our quota. Outsiders cannot do it for us, we must pull our energies, time and resources together to reinvent and re-energize our country.

Senator Sani saluted the good people of Kaduna State on this auspicious occasion adding that they have remained strong and focused despite challenges.
