Footwear retailer, Foot Locker, has joined the list of brands cutting ties with rapper and music producer, Kanye West, after his antisemitic rants on social media.

The company said it would “not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops, and we have instructed our retail operators to pull any existing product from our shelves and digital sites.”

The 45-year-old was recently dropped from the list of billionaires compiled by Forbes after German sportswear company, Adidas, cut ties with him over his antisemitic rants.

The rapper, whose deal with Adidas provided $1.5bn of his net worth, had earlier boasted during a Drink Champs podcast that “I can say antisemitic… and Adidas cannot drop me.”

The German company later terminated its partnership with the rapper, also known as Ye, ended production of Yeezy-branded products and stopped all payments to him and his companies.

According to Forbes, without Adidas, West is worth $400m, pointing out that the remainder of his fortune comes from real estate, cash, his music catalogue, and a five per cent stake in ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s shapewear firm, Skims.

West has also lost business relationships with Gap and Balenciaga after he was seen wearing a shirt with a slogan associated with the Ku Klux Klan.

Apart from the destruction of his relationships with big fashion brands, West is currently being threatened by social media giants, with Twitter suspending his account after he tweeted a promise to go ‘death con 3 on Jewish people.’

The 45-year-old has also been restricted on Instagram, forcing him to call out the Jewish CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, saying, “Look at this Mark. How you gone kick me off Instagram. You used to be my n***a.”
