The chairman, Zamfara State taskforce on security committee, Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Dauran, has solicited support from the general public to restore peace in the state.
Dauran also charged the members of the taskforce committee to redouble their efforts in discharging their primary responsibilities as outlined in the executive order.
This was contained in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, by the publicity chairman of the committee, Comrade Bello Ibrahim Boko.
The retired police officer who is the Special Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, made the statement while briefing the publicity sub-committee in his office in Gusau.
He said the matter concerning compliance with security issues in the state must be addressed by the committee, saying the members should always be awake in all nooks and crannies of the state.
“I am advising the local government committees under the leadership of sole administrators at local government levels to redouble their efforts and assist his Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle to finish the good work he has already started to flush the remaining bad eggs out of the state”, he added.
Hon. Dauran expatiated that the committee is still monitoring the movement of the designated groups of people who do not mean good for the state, pointing out that whosoever is caught will surely face the full wrath of the law.
He urged the general public to help the committee trace any suspicious movement of any person anywhere in the state so that he or she will be brought to book for necessary action for the benefit of the people, assuring that peace will be restored soon.
