Governor Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated All Progressives Congress (APC) liaison officers for 305 wards.
The Imo helmsman conducted the induction on Friday at a ceremony at the Government House in Owerri.
The governor urged them to be on the lookout and report “enemies” to the state government.
Uzodinma charged the officers to educate the people on the achievements of the APC.
He advised them to sustain the relative peace in their localities and work with party leaders at the grassroots.
Uzodinma noted that with the inauguration, the officers have become part of the government.
“Get accurate information of happenings in your wards”, NAN quoted him saying.
“Know when enemies want to penetrate your area and bring such to the knowledge of the government.
“Go to your wards and defend government programmes alongside other party structures.”
