A coalition of some groups in the South-South, supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has said the duo of Tinubu and Shettima remain the solution to the problems bedevilling the country.

DAILY POST gathered that the group, with the name The Asiwaju Group (TAG), has over 20 support groups across the South-South.

Speaking during a mini-rally held in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital, Yesterday, the coordinator of TAG, Chief Reuben Wilson, who is also the founder of the Pastor Reuben Wilson Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability said, the South-South region is ready and willing to work towards the victory of Tinubu in the 2023 presidential elections.

Reuben said he and his team will not rest and allow the region to be under the control of the opposition party, noting that he will ensure they go from ward to ward, constituency to constituency to preach the good news of their candidate, Tinubu.

Also speaking at the event, Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, said the candidacy of Tinubu is the best for the presidency, describing Tinubu as a person who has the ability to improve on any situation.

Other speakers also spoke on the importance of coming together and working for the APC at all levels. One of the speakers Ntufam Hillard Eta, Director, South-South Coalition of Support Groups, spoke about the importance of coming together and representing massively at all levels to ensure the APC achieves its goals. He also spoke on the importance of remembering the history of Nigeria, the region and Akwa Ibom state in particular when considering who to vote for.

Recognitions were given to all groups present, while special recognitions were given to some specific groups for the immense amount of effort they have put in recent times, one of which was the Pastor Reuben Wilson Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability.

The event featured a lot of APC chieftains across the region and a large crowd which came from all over the South-South.

They expressed hope that their support would enable APC to reclaim the five states in the South-South and also maintain power at the centre come 2023.
