Labour party governorship aspirant in Imo State, General Jack Ogunewe (retd), has expressed shock over the demise of Hon Irouno Chukwunenye, LP House of Reps candidate for Okigwe South Federal Constituency.

In a statement, Ogunewe described Late Iruono, “as a man who has done well,  a big friend and a fan of mine whose aura endeared him to me”

Ogunewe’s message made available to this newspaper reads:

“In the midnight of today 5/12/2022 here in the United States of America, I was awoken by a call from Nigeria breaking the sad news of the death of my friend and supporter, Hon. IROUNO Chukwunenye whose charistmatism and aura endeared him to me. I could not believe that a man who spoke with me about four hours before this sad news  could be the person I was told is dead. I am sad. I will miss  a big friend and fan of mine.
