This is contained in a statement signed by the special adviser to the governor on media and communication, Muyiwa Adeleke, issued on Thursday.
Yabuwat succeeds Malam Nuhu Bature, the first Agwom Kajju, who died in December 2021.
The new Agwam Kajju was, until his appointment, the district head of Ungwan Rimi in Kajju Chiefdom. He had previously served as the district head of Marsa in the same chiefdom.
Born in 1954, Yabuwat is the third district head to be appointed head of a traditional council in recent appointments approved by the governor.
He had a distinguished career in the public service; working in various parts of the country before retiring as a deputy superintendent of prisons.
He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
