The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC), Kaduna, Idris Yahaya Adah on Thursday, said the active role played by officers and men of the corps in the state led to greater security of lives, property and federal government infrastructure across the 23 local government area of the state
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Habeeb Badamasi who said this, in a statement on Thursday, to mark the end of the year 2022, noted that commandant Adah who took over the mantle of leadership at the peak of insecurity in Kaduna State had used his intellectual approach, to reduce the insecurity bedevilling the state to the barest minimum while synergizing with other security agents in the state.
“Within this very year alone, Commandant Adah has created three more area commands, nine additional Divisional offices across the 23 Local Government and trained several officers on weapon handling, and as well, deployed officers and men to Strategic places and ensure a 24 hours patrol across the state.
According to him, as part of his commitment to duty, he refurbished broken-down vehicles for easy mobility and constant patrol by officers and men of the command.
He said: “The female squad ensure zero tolerance for vices among students such as cultism, thuggery, hooliganism, kidnapping, rape, drug addiction, gambling, smoking, and alcoholism, among others.
“We also mediated between farmers and herders through our Agro-ranger Unit, which could have resulted in the loss of lives and properties.
