The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has received over 2,000 people from the Bassa ethnic group who declared their support for the ruling All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.

The defectors who were members of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, pledged their loyalty for the APC at the party’s campaign rally in the LGA on Saturday.

Welcoming the defectors into the APC, Sule said they would be given equal treatment with other members of the party.

He expressed confidence that with the massive turnout at the rally, the people of the area had once again demonstrated their readiness to deliver the APC in the 2023 general election as they had always stood by the party in past elections.

We are united in the APC. We are seeing others leaving their party to come and join us because of the unity within our party. Any loyal member of the party will not seek to create crisis in the party,” the governor added.
