Chelsea, under the leadership of Todd Boehly, has set their asking price for Hakim Ziyech after Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma became the latest club to express interest in signing the winger.
Ziyech has underwhelmed at Chelsea following a £33 million move from Ajax back in 2020.
The Morocco international helped Ajax win the Eredivisie title and reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals but has failed to produce his top form for the Blues.
Multiple Chelsea managers have overlooked the 29-year-old, who has only started four Premier League matches this season under Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel, respectively.
Given his lack of game-time, Ziyech is open to leaving the Premier League giants before the January transfer window closes next week and the likes of Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa have been linked with the player.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma has entered the race to sign Ziyech as they prepare for the likely departure of Nicolo Zaniolo.
The report added that Chelsea is asking for £17.5 million for Ziyech and have also been in contact with Roma’s Serie A rivals AC Milan over a deal.
