With six days to the presidential election, the founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has urged Nigerians to vote for leaders with capacity and character.

Bishop Oyedepo urged Nigerians to vote wisely during the 2023 elections starting from Saturday.

He spoke during a sermon on Sunday at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.

Oyedepo, however, cautioned politicians that Nigeria is not a property for sale.

Stressing that he wants Nigeria to be peaceful and stable, Oyedepo said: “We are not an entity or property, we’re a people and we are not for sale.

“You do not need to be a billionaire to be a president; you need capacity, you need character and we have them in every part of the country, everyone is free to join a party, but if you do not join the wellbeing of this nation, you are in problem.

“This week is decisive, so vote wisely. Vote for a leader with capacity and character.”

As Nigerians file out to the polls on Saturday, over 10 presidential candidates will be jostling to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

But, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu; Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi; and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, are the frontline candidates jostling to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
