Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso is adamant his team can turn things around despite the defeat to Senegal in their first game at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The seven-time champions were unbeaten in 19 games heading into the clash against the Cubs but fell 1-0 at the Cairo International Stadium.

Soulemane Faye scored the winning goal on 40 minutes.

The Flying Eagles finished the game with 10 men after Ahmed Abdullahi was sent off for a poor challenge late on.

Despite the disappointing start to the competition, Bosso is confident his team will achieve their objective of winning an eighth title and also qualify for the World Cup.
