Bayern Munich on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of Michael Rechner as their new first-team goalkeeping coach.

Bayern Munich had been without a member of staff in that role since sacking Toni Tapalovic in January after it was discovered that he had leaked internal chats to players.

The Bundesliga champions had organised a thorough search for a coach to succeed Tapalovic and have now reached an agreement with Rechner, 42, over the role.
