Essentially his debut single, the track comes after a series of freestyles that rippled through the underground music scene and a myriad of show-stopping live performances, with Tweehz opening for the likes of superstars such as Ayojay and Wande Coal.

The track, titled after and thematically in support of presidential aspirant and Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, serves as a rousing call to action for eligible Nigerians to exercise their civic duties in the forthcoming elections. Written and produced by Tweehz and dripping in Naija influenced Amapiano swagger, the song is an undeniable earworm that promises to send people dancing to the polling booth.

Ever defying the status quo, Tweehz opted for a more politically charged, socially conscious single as his debut as opposed to the more orthodox, carefree lyricism that is often expected of popular music because he felt it was the right thing to do. “Right now, at this time, nothing matters more than Nigeria. The future of our country is at stake and we need to put in the work to save it. Music is my first love. It’s how I communicate and express myself , so this is me doing my part, this is me trying,’ he said.

Born and raised in Surulere,Lagos, the New York based Anambra native deftly tempers the seeming seriousness of the song by pairing the uplifting melody with an infectious amapiano beat, evidencing his musical dexterity not just before the mic, but behind the studio glass as well.

On the future of his music, he says, ‘Peter Obi, the song, is to my music career what Peter Obi, the man, is to Nigeria and Nigerians; a bastion of unbridled hope, endless possibility and the dawn of a new day. This is just the beginning.’
