Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman admitted he has no regret representing Nigeria at the international level instead of England.

Lookman was born in Wandsworth, South West London, to Nigerian parents.

The 25-year-old represented England at the youth level and initially turned down overtures from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The pacy forward finally agreed to switch allegiance with FIFA granting his request to play for the Super Eagles on February 10, 2022.

Lookman insisted he is happy with the decision to represent the three-time African champions.

“I have no regrets, I took the right decision. This is my career,” he told L’Eco di Bergamo.

“I want to play for Nigeria and am proud of this. I was born in England, but my family is from Nigeria and I have a strong bond with both countries.”

Lookman has made six appearances for the Super Eagles with a goal to his name.
