Former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Professor Usman Yusuf is of the opinion that none of the APC governors in the North will be able to deliver for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming election.

This was said by Professor Yusuf on Monday during his guest appearance on The 2023 Verdict on Channels Television.

“No APC governor in the North has the support of the people to give him (Tinubu) anything. None,” the previous NHIS director shouted.

He claims that Tinubu has primarily engaged in local politics, particularly in Lagos, where “nobody confronts him because he is Alpha and Omega.”

Although the APC flagbearer has built up a following, Professor Yusuf said, he is inexperienced in national front politics.

The oncologist said, “His inexperience is evident. He added that Tinubu is not engaging the populace in the North and that the APC presidential candidate is essentially outsourcing the campaign to promote musicians and APC governors.

Professor Yusuf added, “When it comes to the campaign hosting, he just dances and departs.

Speaking about President Muhammadu Buhari’s stated intent to hand the presidency over to an APC candidate, the former NHIS head claimed that only the people’s wishes would ultimately triumph.

According to him, Buhari has wasted all of his power and goodwill both nationally and internationally, and as a result, he can finally realise his aim of handing the presidency over to an APC contender. According to Channels Television report.
