It comes as no surprise that Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, has recently joined the campaign train of the Accord Party in Oyo state.

In July last year, the Zazuu star stirred controversy when he declared support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu. This, of course, resulted in a beef with fellow musician, Davido, who was supporting a different candidate.

Six months on and Portable has now been spotted campaigning for the Accord Party in Oyo state. He hopped on the campaign train of Shina Peller, a house of representatives member seeking re-election for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Oyo.

Portable has made appearances in several local towns to connect with potential voters and help spread the word about the Accord Party

It is admirable to see such passionate support from Portable for his chosen candidate. By taking on the role of campaigner, he is doing more to help spread knowledge of the cause and help foster support. Hopefully, this will lead to increased turnout at the polls for the Accord Party in Oyo state and beyond.
