Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun) in Osun State has arrested a 37-year-old hoodlum who has been unleashing terror on residents.

The suspect is accused of making life uncomfortable for the people of Ikoyi-Ile Town in Isokan Local Government Area.

Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Retired Brig.-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said he was arrested on Wednesday following multiple complaints.

The attacker mostly operate alone and routinely target residents of the town with cutlass and charms, Adewinmbi disclosed.

During interrogation, he admitted to acting in an unruly manner and causing unrest in the community. He pleaded for forgiveness.

The suspect has been handed over to the police command in Osun for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Urging residents to be vigilant, Adewinmbi stated that the law would take its full course on anyone caught perpetrating violence.

The retired General lauded residents for offering information to Amotekun, saying their assistance had helped to curb crimes and arrest criminals.
