Nollywood actress, Georgina Onuoha has expressed sadness following the declaration of Bola Tinubu as winner of the 2023 presidential election. She accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of shortchanging Nigerians. According to the actress, INEC stole the mandate of the people and went ahead to declare Tinubu winner in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1.
The former Lagos State governor scored 8,805,420 votes to defeat his counterparts, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the tight race.
Expressing displeasure over the action of INEC, Georgina said that the electoral body stole the people’s mandate.
She wrote: “You will never sit on this throne Tinubu. Lord we’ve been raped as a nation and denied justice and fairness How? This is criminal… This is a sham NOT my President @inecnigeria you stole our mandate.”
