Obinna Ukor Agbi and his wife Catherine Agbi have been decorated as Global Peace Ambassadors in Owerri, Imo State.
The Chapter Fellowship Award conferment which took place on Friday, April 21, 2023, was organized by the International Synergy of Advocates for Global Peace and Development ISAGPDI
Obinna Ukor Agbi who is the Executive Director of Obinna Ukor Foundation was recognized for his contribution to peace and betterment of others.
The ISAGPDI Executive Director Hon. Otu Abasi said Obinna deserves the Ambassador title he will be getting from the award, adding that his generosity, sacrifice and commitment to giving disadvantaged persons a better life is exceptional.
Hon. Abasi, who was also representing the President of International Association of World Peace Advocates, Per Stafson at the event, said that they chose to use the United Nations International Day for Creativity and Innovation for the award conferment.because the Award recipients represent what is being celebrated.
Also speaking at the event. Comrade Kennedy Iyere described Obinna Ukor as a humble and committed humanitarian.
Comrade Iyere praised the awardee for the excellent job he is doing with Obinna Ukor Foundation, saying that the foundation will be of immense benefit to humanity, while also pledging his partnership with them.
In his response, Amb. Obinna Ukor Agbi, thanked the ISAGPDI team, family members, friends and wellwishers who attended the event, adding that the award will fuel more humanitarian activities from him and the foundation.
