The Katsina State Police Command on Friday said its operatives foiled an attack, killed two terrorists and recovered a motorcycle along with all the cattle rustled from Dagwarwa village in Kurfi Local Government Area of the state.

Newly promoted Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) and Public Relations Officer of the Katsina Command, Gambo Isah who disclosed this in a press statement said the command received a distress call on the attack at about 1:30am on Friday that the terrorists stormed the community in their numbers, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles before attacking the residence of the Sarkin Fulani in Danmarke village at Dagwarwa District.

According to CSP Gambo, “many of the terrorists were reasonably believed to have been neutralized or may have escaped the scene with gunshots wounds, noting that “search parties are combing the nearest bushes with a view of arresting them and/or recovering their dead bodies.”

He, however, appealed to members of the communities around the area to report to the nearest police station any person found or seen with a suspected injury.
