Nigerian actress, Uche Ogbodo, has come under heavy criticism on social media after she slammed a man for insisting a lady who threatened to falsely accuse him of rape should be persecuted.

Richard Osita had taken to his Instastory to lambast the Nigerian Police for not taking his petition against his blackmailer, Bella Nwoko, seriously.

DAILY POST recalls that Osita last weekend, shared a video of his estranged friend, Bella apologising for falsely accusing him of rape in 2021 after he called her out on social media.

Despite the apology, Osita said he was at the police station to complain against Bella but the officers did not take him seriously because it was a “female on male crime.”

Reacting via her Instagram page, Uche Ogbodo slammed Osita for being vindictive and adamant on persecuting his former friend despite her public apology.

According to her, the lady only threatened to accuse the man of rape and didn’t do it, therefore, Osita has no case.

She wrote: “Richard, you need to relax with your vindictive approach! She threatened to accuse you but she never did….and turned around to apologise for it. Forgive her then and move on! Let us stop pushing wicked and mean people to ruin people’s lives all in the name of ‘I am right’.”

Ogbodo also knocked Osita for making derogatory comments about the Nigerian Police.

“What manner of person is this guy? You want her to pay for what? For not carrying out a threat yet? Nah you even carry am come social media come announce am. Abeg shift Richard!” she added.

Her comment elicited backlash from her colleagues and fans.

Mary Njoku replied: “Na lie! She must face the consequences. False rape accusation can destroy someone’s life, career, and reputation forever!!! Anytime you search for his name, rape could be mentioned. And his crime was ‘not being interested in her’. She needs to be jailed.”

Similarly, Daddy Freeze wrote: “My sister if na rape dem rape woman and she wants justice would you say the same thing? Just asking.”
