Former Premier League stars, Rio Ferdinand and Joleon Lescott, have predicted Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will win the Champions League this season.
Ferdinand and Lescott spoke after Man City qualified for the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night after beating Bayern Munich 4-1 on aggregate.
The Champions League final will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 10.
Speaking on BT Sport after watching Man City secure a 1-1 draw in the Allianz Arena, Lescott said, “Man City [will win the Champions League].
“I think they are defensively stronger than in previous years, so I will go with Man City.”
On his part, Ferdinand echoed his sentiment, responding: “Reluctantly, I will say Man City. But I have said it for the last three years, I will continue in that vain.”
