Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been cautioned against his latest tirades with some high-ranking personalities in the country.

Deji Adeyanju, a socio-political activist, said Wike should take things easy because he’s just a governor and not “deputy Jesus.”

Adeyanju was reacting to the latest face-off between Wike and a former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye.

The Rivers governor had thrown the first punch when he said Melaye lacked the capacity to govern Kogi State.

Melaye had fired back at Wike saying the Rivers Governor’s comments were borne out of anger over his, (Melaye’s) refusal to support his Vice presidential ambition.

Reacting to the face-off, Adeyanju tweeted: “Imagine Wike trying to belittle Femi Falana, SAN because he became governor. The next governor of Rivers should take things easy.

“The incoming governors should generally take things easy. It’s ordinary governor, not deputy Jesus position.

“Dino is too hard on Wike, lol. Wike no matter what is still the best-performing governor in the 2015-2023 era despite all his nonsense talks and jumping all over the place.”
