Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has congratulated Honourable Yusuf Liman and Honourable Magaji Henry on their well-deserved election as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, respectively.

It was learnt that the immediate-past Speaker, Yusuf Zailani had earlier stepped down from the race.

In a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Shehu, on Tuesday, his principal extended his warmed felicitations to the Speaker and his Deputy while hailing the transparent and fair process that led to their emergence as leaders of the legislative arm of the government.

The statement said, “Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani extends his warmest congratulations to Honorable Yusuf Liman and Honorable Magaji D. Henry on their well-deserved election as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly respectively.

“Governor Sani also commends the transparent and fair process that led to the emergence of the two distinguished lawmakers as leaders of the legislative arm of government in Kaduna State. He believes that their election is a testament to the confidence reposed in them by their colleagues and a reflection of their commitment to upholding democratic values.
