A promising political science graduate , Justina Dauda Mahmud, aged 20 is seeking a job career in the Ministry of Defense.
Miss Justina is also known as the Virgin Corps member whose description went viral during the National Youth Service Corps, Passing Out Parade, POP of 2022 Batch B stream 1 in May, 2023
She is a graduate of Taraba State University with a degree in Political Science.
She hails from Karim Lamido local government area of Taraba state and is the only female child in the family of two children.
Having worked as an Administrative Assistant in her Place of Primary Assignment, under the Police Academy, Justina is driven by a deep passion for national security and a strong desire to contribute to her country, Nigeria.
While speaking with our reporter, she expresses her enthusiasm and eagerness to contribute to the defense sector and how she was able to attain her academic feat at a very young age:
“ I was able to attain this academic feat at a very young age because I got admission into the university at the tender age of 15. I’m hard-working, and the Lord has been my strength”
“One of the biggest challenges I encountered during my education was the demise of my father, I lost him when I was in 100 level, and things were not going on smoothly after his demise, especially in finance and my mother deals on grains”
“Temptations came in different ways like someone meeting you to tell you that ‘if you will allow me to sleep with you, I will change ur wardrobe, buy you this and that” . But the greatest inspiration is that despite all the challenges I graduated from the University intact, because I’m a contained lady.”
Having ventured into the labour market, Justina remains optimistic about her academic prospects of attaining a Ph.D. level.
“I will hustle more to enable me get money to further my studies. If I will be offered a scholarship, I will be the happiest person on earth…but if I’m opportuned to get any defense job, I will accept it too”
Her story exemplifies the aspirations of young graduates who are eager to do more for their country and live a self-disciplined lifestyle despite the odds.
With a renewed perspective and enthusiasm, Justina is looking forward to working with the next chapter of her life.
