The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named the Minister of the Federal Capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike as a member of its campaign council for the upcoming Bayelsa State governorship poll election.

DAILY POST recalls that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had included Wike, and the ex-governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom in its governorship election campaign council.

Although the former Rivers State governor, was recently sworn in as a minister by President Bola Tinubu, he is yet to resign as a member of the Peoples Democratic, PDP.

He fell out with the PDP in the lead-up to the February 25 presidential election.

However, APC also named Wike as a member of the council when it set up campaign councils for the Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo governorship polls billed for later in the year.

A circular from the ruling APC listed Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State as the chairman of the party’s governorship campaign council in Bayelsa with Defence Minister Abubakar Badaru; Senate President Godsdwill Akpabio and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume as co-chairmen.
