English side Newcastle United were hoping to complete a Champions League double against French Champions PSG, before a late Mbappe goal halted their dreams. 

Alexander Isak gave the visitors a lead in the first half, with the home team failing to convert any of their chances. 

In the second half substitute… missed four good chances, with Kylian Mbappe and Dembele also missing theirs.

With a number of penalty shouts, PSG finally got their wish when the VAR called on referee Szymon Marciniak to check the monitor after the had rolled from Tino Livramento”s knee to his left arm.

PSG will need to win their last game to earn direct qualification, while a loss for them and win for Newcastle will see the English side go through to the knockout stage. 

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund won 3-1 at AC Milan, ensuring their qualification in group F.
