Entertainers in Imo State on Saturday will take to the streets of Owerri the state capital, to call for peace in the state.

With some parts of the state plagued by insecurity, the entertainers under the Association of Imo Entertainers AIE are calling on everyone to do what they can to achieve a peaceful Imo.

Speaking to OtownGist, the AIE President, Viscount Ihenacho Bernard aka Viscount said that peace will change the landscape of Imo and that is why they are embarking on the walk.

He said that entertainers are the biggest losers from the situation, adding that entertainment is no longer thriving in the state because nightlife is no longer what it used to be in Imo State.

“We want our darling Imo State to start bubbling again. We are called the Eastern Heartland for a reason and I believe we can get black to that level we can find a way around the security issues in the state”
