The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman has presented cheques to the tune of N44.5m to about sixty-nine relatives and immediate families of Police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty recently in the state.

Presenting the cheques to beneficiaries in Minna, the CP said the gesture was from the IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun to them,
under the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Insurance Schemes.

He noted that though the cheques might not be enough to cater for the families, it was a token that would grow to sustain each family.
