Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Sunshine Stars, have appointed Kennedy Boboye as their new head coach.

Boboye takes over from Edith Agoye, who was sacked following the Owena Waves underwhelming end to the first half of the season.

Sunshine Stars are winless in their last three games and ended the first round in 12th position.

The 50-year-old tactician is one of the respected coaches in the NPFL.

Boboye has won the NPFL title with Plateau United and Akwa United in the past.

He was in charge of Heartland briefly this season.
