Indigenous rapper Slow Dog has credited his colleague, Mr. Raw, formerly known as Nigga Raw, as the pioneer of Igbo rap.
He said the ‘Obodo’ crooner paved the way for Igbo rap which new-generation rappers are benefiting from today.
Slow Dog stated this in a video message shared via his Instagram page recently.

He said, “I go by the name Slow Dog. I want to give flowers to my boss, the pioneer of Igbo rap which we are benefiting from today, his name is Mr. Raw or you call him Nigga Raw.
“Mr. Raw, thanks for everything.”
His claims are coming days after Odumodublvck, who raps partly in Igbo, said no veteran or legend paved the way for any artist in the Nigerian music industry.
