Nollywood actor Digidi Dunhill whose father will be buried on the 6th of March has recounted how another important event coincided with the ceremony.
The actor who has been in the industry for decades also said that losing both parents with 8 months has been very tough.
Mr. Evaristus Nwachukwu Akatakpo, his father died at the age of 87, while his mother Mrs Caroline Nwachukwu Akatakpo died at the age of 78.
According to information shared on his social media profile, the remains of his father will be laid to rest on the 6th of March at Umezeoma, Okporo in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
The actor wrote, “The ups and downs of life are interwoven in our lives and everyone has his or her own baggage without knowing what’s in them.”
“How would I have thought I would lose the two most important people I have known all my life within months. God gave me life through them and they made sure I grew up with love and care”
“2022 till January 1st 2024 had been non-stop hospitals, bills, burial and pains. But what can you do? When we pray for our folks to live long, we also pray for finances to get them through because old age comes with its own baggage apart from the few that are lucky.”
“In 5 days I will mark the end of my journey on earth for my dad, I know you have met your wife in afterlife.”
He is also supposed to be honoured on the same day his father is being buried alongside other dignitaries.
The award ceremony billed for FCT Abuja will see the actor share the stage with the likes of Jim Iyke, Emeka Ike, Dr. Reuben Abati, Mike Ozekhome, AIG Ali Mohammed amongst others.
