The 2023 winner of Miss Awarra Court Area (ACA), Queen Uchenna Blossom Ezichiamaka in collaboration with Eze Buguma Foundation has organized Feminine Hygiene Program for female students in Ohaji community in Imo State.
The event, which is the pet project of Queen Uchenna Blossom Ezichiamaka, is designed for hygiene awareness, and to imbibe morals and good hygiene culture in girl children in the area.
The programme which was held on March 15, 2024, had SS2 and SS3 students from over ten schools in Ohaji area, converge at Assa Town School.
Queen Uchenna Blossom Ezichiamaka said they designed it to be educating, entertaining and informative. It featured talks on Personal Hygiene, Drug and Substance Abuse among youths, Quiz Competition, Distribution of Gift Items to the best performing students and Cultural Dance.
Some of the attendees called for the sustenance of the programme, with the plan that it will help moral dexadece in the area. of the programme in the area.
The programme is sponsored by the Member representing Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Uzoma Francis Osuoha, Hon. Kenneth Ekwueme, former Special Adviser to the Governor on House of Assembly Service Commission and Comr. Ugorji Emmanuel, Niger Delta Youth Movement (NDYM) Chairman, Imo State Chapter.
Hon. Uzoma Francis Osuoha, the Chief Executive Officer of Eze Buguma Foundation, advised the students to take advantage of the programme to imporve their personal hygiene.
He called on them to shun immoral acts, illicit drugs and substances abuse to avoid anything that stop them from. living a good life, that will eventually cut short their dreams.
“Make hygiene your tradition, because it will keep you away from disease, infection and sicknesses”
“Do not indulge in hard drugs or any illicit substance or narcotics. They damage the brain and other organs of the body. The lecture given to you is apt and educational, put it into practice because, it will help you grow well as teenagers, as well as become more useful”, Hon. Osuoha said.
He hailed Queen Uchenna Blossom Ezichiamaka and others for organizing the program which he described as wonderful, rich and thoughtful.
Osuoha thanked the students, dignitaries, among others, for gracing the event, assuring them that Eze Buguma Foundation will continue to affect lives positively to reduce poverty, crime and violence in Ohaji/Egbema
