One of the famous movie producers and marketers in the Nigerian film industry, Mr Andy Ikechukwu Nnadi, otherwise known as Andy Best, has died.

Reports gathered revealed that the filmmaker died after a prolonged undisclosed illness at a private hospital in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

“Yes, he is dead. He died this morning,” a Nollywood practitioner who asked not to be named told this newspaper a moment ago.

Also, the convener of the popular Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, Mr Seun Oloketuyi, confirmed the death of Andy Best on Tuesday afternoon.

“Andy Best, a top Nollywood producer and marketer is dead. He died in an Owerri hospital today,” he announced on his Facebook page.

Before his demise, Andy Best produced several films, including My Sweet Sister in 2006, Pretty Angels in 2005, Queen of My Heart in 2005, Rain Makers in 2009, No More War in 2005, I Broke My Heart in 2011, and Double Mama in 2013, amongst others.

The deceased, who established Andy Best Production, a movie production firm, hailed from Umunkwo in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
