Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, who is the South East APC National Vice Chairman and academic giant, has said that Governor Hope Uzodimma done wonderfully by attracting the African Export – Import Bank (AfrexiBank) grant, an achievement he observed would boost social and economic development of Imo State, as well as reduce hardship among indigent people.

Arodiogbu highlighted that the Governor is deeply committed to alleviate the current economic hardship in the state, hence he used his healthy relationship with the Federal Government to secure the conditional grant from (AfrexiBank).

He explained that over twenty thousand indigent Imo citizens will get fifty thousand naira each from the grant to help cushion the rising economic hardship as targeted by the Federal Government which he said is going to be implemented by Imo State Government.

In a chat with journalists on Monday, Arodiogbu reiterated that the feat by Uzodinma is a benchmark which he believed will encourage indigent citizens assuage hardship.

DArodiogbu stressed that the grant will as well facilitate infrastructural development in the state, assessing President Armad Bola Tinugu and Governor Hope Uzodinma as good leaders who he affirmed are always determined to develop the country, sustain peace, security, meet welfare and wellbeing of people.

“I commend Governor Hope Uzodinma for attracting the 1.5billion dollars grant to Imo State with the help of the Federal Government. This feat is a milestone which will go a long way to assisting the poor to alleviate the current economic hardship in the country. The fund will also strengthen development in the state. Indeed, the Shared Prosperity Administration has achieved so much for Imo State, hence I call on all well meaning citizens to continue to lend credence to the government as it edifies the state socially, economically and educationally via the 3R Mantra of Rehabilitation Reconstruction and Recovery”, he posited.

He said he is happy that AfrexiBank gives financial service to African States to help them grow economically and socially for enhanced prosperity, peace and forwardness of African Continent.

AfrexiBank which was founded in 1993, and has its headquarters in Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt.

It has Nigerian born Prof. Benedict Okey Orumah as President and plays a leading role in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
