The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest to LIB, saying it was related to “currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira”.

The EFCC spokesperson did not specify how Bobrisky allegedly abused the Naira, but the arrest comes after the crossdresser posted a video on social media in which he was seen throwing naira notes at guests at a movie premiere.

The viral video sparked outrage among many Nigerians, who criticized the crossdresser for what they perceived as disrespect for the Nigerian currency.
