Our correspondent who visited the health center spoke to the people and one of them, Chimaokwu Okoro, said for many years, the hospital has been abandoned with facilities rusting and wasting. He said that bushes, rodents and other animals have turned the place into their home.

Okoro stated that the hospital which was in the past adjudged as one of the best hospitals in Ohaji/Egbema now offers 0% medical service to the people given to the moribund nature of facilities.

He added that “not only that the hospital is moribund in terms of poor facilities and medication, the health center has not more than 3 staff. Instead of putting the hospital in order, the government of Ohaji/Egbema rather  donated some part of the building to Egbema North Development Centre”.

The people are begging the government to do the needful by revamping the moribund hospital so that they will begin to access proper medication therein.
