The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has warned Nigerians to expect widespread power outages if the planned tariff increase is not implemented.

Adelabu issued the warning on Monday, stating that without the proposed increase in electricity tariff, the nation would experience complete blackouts within the next three months.

Speaking before the Senate Committee on Power during an inquiry into the recent electricity tariff hike by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Adelabu emphasized the necessity of the tariff adjustment.
