In Achusa Village, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State, a 29-year-old woman named Torkwase Kpile reportedly stabbed her husband to death following an argument over sexual intimacy.
According to reports, the couple, who had been married for two months, engaged in a heated disagreement over sex, during which Kpile fatally stabbed her husband, Igbah Kpile, in the neck with a kitchen knife.
Neighbors responded to Kpile’s screams and found him in a pool of blood. His wife, allegedly unremorseful and angry, claimed that her husband had been pressuring her for sex.
Despite efforts to save him, Kpile succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a nearby clinic in Makurdi. The attending doctor pronounced him dead on arrival.
Torkwase, the suspect, is currently at large, and the police have launched an investigation into the homicide.
Attempts to reach the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, SP Catheren Anene, for confirmation of the incident were unsuccessful, as calls to her phone went unanswered.
