Al-Ittihad striker Karim Benzema is reportedly prepared to cut short his “disappointing” tenure in the Saudi Pro League.

According to Relevo, the French forward has confided in friends during a recent visit to Madrid that he is dissatisfied with the low level of competition in the league.

Benzema has also expressed frustration with the inadequate facilities and what he perceives as a lack of professionalism within the league.

Additionally, the relentless harassment from fans has been a significant source of distress for the former Real Madrid star.

Despite his dissatisfaction, Benzema is aware that his departure will be complicated by his lucrative contract. Running until 2026, the deal is worth €200 million.

Benzema joined Al-Ittihad last summer on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid.
