Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has cautioned Nigerians to stay away from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to avoid the stress of legal proceedings.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the nightlife influencer highlighted the challenges suspects face during EFCC trials, advising people to steer clear of such situations.

He wrote: “Court day, problem no good Oh, @officialefcc No Dey Joke Oh !!!! Better stay away from their wahala, I’m sure you will not love to pass through this Kinda stress I’m passing through.”

This advice comes following reports suggesting that he had agreed to an out-of-court settlement.

A Federal High Court in Lagos has scheduled June 5 for a report on the settlement in Cubana Chief Priest’s case involving alleged abuse of the naira.

Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned by the EFCC on April 17 on three counts of spraying and tampering with naira notes during a social event at Eko Hotel in Lagos State. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N10 million.

Justice Kehinde Ogundare adjourned the case until May 2 for the hearing of the preliminary objection and trial.
