The family of John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, has urged the public to trust information provided by the Central Planning Committee (CPC) regarding his burial.

In a statement released in Enugu by his elder brother, Mr. Ivor Odonwodo, the family expressed their heartbreak over Junior Pope’s passing, but found solace in the impactful life he led.

“His life was marked by his love for God, family, community, and his positive energy,” said Mr. Odonwodo.

He emphasized that the family’s responsibility at this time is to bid Junior Pope a fitting farewell, hence the formation of the burial committee.

“We urge the public to rely solely on information released by the committee regarding the funeral rites,” Mr. Odonwodo stated.

The tentative burial date for Junior Pope is set for May 17, with the program of events being finalized by the family. The CPC will share the Funeral Poster containing the details of the events with the general public soon.
