Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has announced that he has forgiven his late colleague, Junior Pope, for allegedly backstabbing him.
Recently, Edochie accused the late actor of betraying him, despite considering him a brother and good friend. Edochie claimed he was always there for Pope when he needed him. Due to this alleged betrayal, Edochie did not mourn the late actor.
Edochie’s comments sparked backlash, with many, including his aunt Rita Edochie, criticizing him for holding a grudge against the deceased actor.
However, Edochie has now stated that he has forgiven Junior Pope, although he remains deeply hurt by the betrayal.
On his Instagram account, Edochie wrote, “Speaking about forgiveness. I forgive him completely. It hurts deeply when a friend you love, took like a brother, stood for, and shown love over the years turns around to stab you in the back repeatedly without remorse.
“Sadly, that’s the world we live in. Humans are filled with flaws. To err is human, to forgive is divine. I forgive him and wish his family the very best.”
