The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cautioned Nigerians against accepting printed UTME result slips, clarifying that results are currently unavailable in paper format.
In a statement on Wednesday, JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin urged vigilance, as some individuals have begun circulating printed result slips on social media platforms.
Dr. Benjamin explained that unlike last year, UTME results are not accessible on the JAMB website at this time.
He emphasized, “The only way to check the 2024 UTME result is to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone used for UTME registration. Ensure that the SIM is not on any bundle.”
Candidates are advised against visiting cybercafes or third-party entities to check their results.
Dr. Benjamin also warned against accepting printed result slips, emphasizing that results are not available in paper format as currently circulated on social media.
While a considerable number of candidates have checked their results through the provided method, Dr. Benjamin urged those still struggling to follow the correct channel.
JAMB recently announced the release of the 2024 UTME results, with Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede stating that 64,624 out of the 1,904,189 candidates had their results withheld pending investigation.
