A final-year Electrical Electronics student at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, has been tragically killed by armed robbers.

The victim, Saviour, was attacked around 8:00 pm on Saturday near his former residence in Ikot Uboh, Ikot Ekpene. He was reportedly shot while trying to protect his cellphone from the robbers.

A source close to the school recounted the incident, stating, “The armed robbers opened fire as Saviour tried to raise the alarm. Apart from his phone, they took nothing else. It’s heartbreaking. I pray God comforts his mother and siblings and grants his soul eternal rest.”
