Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has backed Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. for the 2024 Ballon d’Or. Aguero believes the Brazilian international’s stellar 2023/24 season makes him the most deserving candidate for the prestigious award.

Aguero highlighted Vinicius’s impressive performance, noting his contributions to Real Madrid’s triumphs in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. “I think the award should go to Vinicius. He had a great season, winning the La Liga title and the Champions League, too, with a goal to go with it,” Aguero told Stake.
