Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has remarked on the challenges of marrying an Igbo woman. On Tuesday, Davido tied the knot with Chioma Rowland, an Igbo woman from Imo State.
Speaking during a live Instagram session hosted by music executive Ubi Franklin shortly after his wedding, Davido commented on the difficulty of marrying an Igbo woman.
“Marrying an Igbo woman is not easy. It’s not easy to marry an Igbo woman,” he stated, without delving into the specifics of his claim.
During the wedding, Davido assured Chioma’s parents that their daughter would be protected and respected in their union, promising her “a lifetime assurance.”
The wedding, which has been trending on social media under the hashtag #CHIVIDO2024, has garnered significant attention and excitement.
