In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, the businessman and socialite expressed his dismay over the prevalent fear of kidnapping and violence, which has deterred customers from patronizing businesses in the East. He highlighted the impact of this insecurity on the local economy, noting a decline in festive homecomings as wealthy individuals opt to stay away for safety reasons. Cubana Chief Priest emphasized the role of community members in aiding criminals and cited this as a contributing factor to the deteriorating security situation. Consequently, he made the strategic choice to relocate to Lagos to ensure the continuity of his business activities.
