Renowned Nigerian actress Funke Akindele has shared why she is no longer close with Eniola Badmus and other colleagues in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview on Arise TV, Akindele discussed her approach to friendships, revealing that her busy schedule has kept her from forming serious friendships outside her family.
“My siblings are my closest friends. I’m cordial with many people but don’t have serious friendships because I’m always busy with work. When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my kids and family, watching movies, or relaxing,” she explained.
Akindele emphasized her preference for personal space and noted that her work commitments keep her occupied, running a studio and producing films for cinemas, streaming platforms, and YouTube.
She maintains friendly relationships with her industry colleagues but prefers working with specific individuals. When asked about her former close friendship with Eniola Badmus, Akindele said, “Eniola Badmus is hilarious and I love spending time with her. However, we’ve both been very busy with our own lives.”
